Veteran that lost home in fire fills new one with his own work

Michael Andrews is a veteran living in East Nassau. When his house burned down over the winter, he moved into a 40-foot camper on his property next to what remained of his home. The fire was caused by a lithium-ion battery he used in his wood working business that was left plugged in overnight. It took him months to clean up his property because he needed to get his destroyed home inspected for asbestos, which was costly.
